Victoria Burton-Harris for Wayne County Prosecutor, Michigan
Detroit Civil Rights Activist and Defense Attorney Victoria Burton-Harris has built a career defending Black Lives in court and now is running for Wayne County Prosecutor to end mass incarceration and police brutality. She pledges to never take money from police unions, to end the scourge of wrongful convictions and to end the criminalization of children, poverty and mental health.
Michigan is the 9th most incarcerated state in the nation. Half of all felony charges come from Wayne County alone (approx. 22,000 per year). Wayne County also leads Michigan in wrongful convictions and the nation in teenagers given life without parole sentences. It's time for a big change to end the nightmare of mass incarceration in Detroit, Wayne County and the State of Michigan.
The Democratic Primary Election is August 4th, 2020.

Kim Foxx for State's Attorney of Cook County, Illinois
Kim Foxx has taken Chicago in a new direction away from the days of police torture, false confessions and mass incarceration. She has been a leader for change by working to end cash bail, exonerating wrongful convictions, helping pass marijuana legalization, expunging thousands of marijuana convictions, substantially cutting the number of people going to prison, and making data from the State's Attorney's Office open and available to the public (the only DA in the nation to do so).
Kim Foxx has also stood up for Chicago again and again: shutting down the NRA’s challenge to the assault weapon ban, protecting Chicago’s sanctuary status against the Trump administration, and prosecuting drug companies for their role in the opioid epidemic.
Kim has also focused resources on the serious cases that matter and stood firm in the face of ferocious attacks from the Trump-loving Fraternal Order of Police. For this reason, the FOP and major Republican donors recruited Bill Conway to run against Kim Foxx as a Democrat in the primary election.
